The goal of Swedish Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Swedish Massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body.
Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles with slow firm pressure. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial for athletes and those who sit for long periods of time.
Graston Technique® (GT) is a unique, evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively and efficiently address soft tissue lesions and fascial restrictions resulting in improved patient outcomes.GT uses specially designed stainless steel instruments with unique treatment edges and angles to deliver an effective means of manual therapy. The use of GT instruments, when combined with appropriate therapeutic exercise, leads to the restoration.
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.
Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests.
Cupping therapy is one of the oldest and most globally practiced medical treatments used in human history. Cupping uses negative pressure, rather than tissue compression. By creating suction and negative pressure, the therapy releases rigid soft tissue, drains excess fluids and toxins, loosens adhesions, lifts connective tissue, and brings blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles.
Vibroacoustic Sound Therapy, also referred to as VAT, use vibrations, tones and frequencies which are designed for specific conditions to permeate cells and engage the body into it’s own healing processes. Please see the Vibroacoustic Therapy tab for more information.
Kinesiology Tape focuses on the treatment of connective tissue, joints, muscles and tendons. It can help to improve circulation, support muscles and allow an injury to heal by gently allowing the free flow of blood and lymphatic fluid to cleanse and heal inflammation. Kinesiology tape can also help prevent further injury to muscle while still allowing motion.
Massage for general relaxation and well-being.
A personalized combination of approaches designed to address specific or chronic areas of pain, dysfunction and limited range of motion.
Each session is performed directly on skin without oils, creams or machinery. This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia.
Fascia begins to develop from the moment of conception. Many factors play a role in fascia restrictions during pregnancy and childbirth. There are many benefits for infants and children to receive myofascial release therapy.
Ankyloglossia (Tongue-tie) is one area in particular that MFR can benefit. Receiving treatment before and after greatly increases the effectiveness of the procedure.
